As of 2019, the automotive industry in Thailand is the largest in Southeast Asia and the 10th largest in the world. The Thai industry has an annual output of more than two million vehicles, more than countries such as Belgium, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Turkey.
Major automobile manufacturers such as Toyota, Isuzu, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Ford currently export vehicles worldwide from Thailand.
Thailand’s strategic location near huge markets such as India, China, and South East is another major advantage for Thai car manufacturers.
